  • Prevents Windows Update from completing?

Has anybody else had a problem with Windows Update not completing since installing Rollback Rx? I've had it installed since last June, and recently had to restore to that original snapshot.
Windows update keeps trying to upgrade to the latest version of Windows 10, and it does all its downloading and configuring work, then says it'll reboot to finish the upgrade.

Upon reboot, I see the Rollback Rx screen, then get a normal login screen. The update never finishes.
I'm still at Windows 10 version 1607 build from last June.

Could Rollback Rx (home, free edition) be preventing the update from finishing? If so, is there some way I could temporarily disable it to get the update to finish?

    Hey Jmcintyre,

Thank you for joining our forums! When doing an UPGRADE specifically, you would need to uninstall Rollback Rx otherwise you'll run into the exact issue you're facing right now.

Upgrades do major changes into the boot loader which is exactly why Rollback Rx needs to be uninstalled first.

Let me know if you have any questions.
